Red Twilight

"What sharp teeth you have, dear..."

Oh no, the story of the sweet little girl with the red riding hood she loved so dearly is not true. The story we all know? It's a lie.

Little red riding hood.
The red stain of blood.

The little girl left the small cottage with a sinister smile on her face as she trotted down the pebbled road to visit her dear grandmother. She pulled up her pure white cotton hood over her lustrous hair.

Suddenly, a growl interrupted her trek through the forest. But it was cut short. The huge figure toppled down.

The crimson blood of the monstrous wolf splattered all over her cape, ruining the white cloth and dying it a horrifyingly beautiful red.
She smiled.

"Dear, is that you? I'm in the next room," warbled a feeble voice.
"Yes, grandmother."
A slice.
A cry.

Her cape was now devoid of any of the former color.
Such a sinister color.
